Packsaddle Cave
Packsaddle Cave is awesome! If you want the greatest family or friend trip, go out to Packsaddle Cave. You can find the trail head from Sequoia National Forest. This is the "Forest" not the park. It is right above the town of Lake Isabella however it is not the friendliest of drives. It's all paved road but lots of curves. Other than that, there are some ticks that crawl about so be on the look out.
Weaver Lake
Weaver Lake is a good short day hike to go on. It's right in between Sequoia and Kings canyon national Park, inside Jennie Lakes Wilderness. I highly suggest going to this lake if you're looking for a good 5 mile round trip hike.
When I went to Weaver Lake, it was late june 2009 and it was cold.

Kearsarge Pass.... again
This trip to Kearsarge Pass took place in August 2009 and it was not the most pleasant trip that I have had. Actually I will say it was the worst weather that I have been in while hiking. Lightning was hitting the ground 100 yards away from us, wind was causing the rain to blow at us horizontally, and it was cold.
Kearsarge Pass May 2010
I love taking day trips to Kearsarge Pass. It's only 8 miles up and back and the scenary is unbelievable.
This trip to Kearsarge was in May 2010 and let me tell you it was cold. Snow every where. But it was beautiful.

Panther Gap
Panther Gap can be found in Sequoia National Park from the Wolverton entrance... well technically there are many different ways to get to Panther Gap, however Wolverton is the shortest trail to Panther Gap. These pictures where taken during May 2010. It was a little cold the first 15 minutes but as we started walking and getting hot the layers had to come off.
It was a very nice hike, around 6 miles. Since we were walking in the snow, it too about double the time to walk the distance as it would if there wasn't snow and took as from 7am to 3 pm to do this trip. It was very pretty once we got to the Gap. We tried to hike to the base of Alta peak but the snow level was too high and we decided to head back.

Rae Lakes
I did a five day trip from Kearsarge Pass to the northern Rae Lakes in August 2010. It was a good trip, about 40 miles total. I highly enjoyed going to the northern Rae Lake as well as Arrowhead Lake-extremely beautiful.
